Dan Maynard
Founder and Local Technology Partner
Dan Maynard has called Lansing, Michigan home since 1965 and has spent more than 30 years helping businesses use technology to operate more efficiently, serve their customers better, and solve real-world problems.
Dan entered the information technology industry in 1995 when he founded Inter-Ads Networking, specializing in internet technology and online marketing at a time when the commercial internet was still in its infancy. That experience established an approach that continues today: find the right technology, make it practical, and use it to help businesses succeed.
Dan later turned his focus to point-of-sale technology, providing POS systems, installation, training, troubleshooting, and ongoing support to restaurants and other local businesses. Over the years, his reputation has been built not simply on selling technology, but on being there when his customers need help.
From Hospitality Tech Partners to Merchant Technology Team
In 2014, the company became Hospitality Tech Partners, or HTP, to better reflect that philosophy. The word Partners is important. The goal has never been to simply sell a POS system and move on. We work with each customer to understand the business, recommend the right technology, help implement it, and provide local support after the sale.
The Next Chapter
As the company expands beyond hospitality to support a broader range of merchants, it is also expanding the point-of-sale systems, payment solutions, technology services, and support it offers.
To better reflect who we serve and what we do, Hospitality Tech Partners is becoming Merchant Technology Team.
The new name represents a broader mission while maintaining the same philosophy that has guided Dan for more than 30 years: we are not simply a technology vendor. We are part of your team.
Merchant Technology Team works with restaurants, retailers, service businesses, and other merchants to find technology solutions that fit the way they actually do business. From POS and payment processing to installation, training, troubleshooting, and ongoing support, our goal is to make business technology easier.

Lee Nelson brings a bookkeeping and tax background to Merchant Technology Team, helping business owners connect their point-of-sale systems to the financial side of running their business.
Through the partnership, Lee works alongside Merchant Technology Team's POS experts to make sure the numbers coming out of your system actually make life easier at tax time. That means accurate sales tracking, appropriate tax calculations, cleaner books, and one less thing business owners have to sort out on their own.
